My keyboard doesn't play

  1. Check the cable or adapter: iPad needs Apple's USB adapter, Android a USB-C OTG adapter.
  2. Open ⚙ Settings › MIDI and play a key: the activity list shows whether the app hears it.
  3. Bluetooth keyboards: ⚙ Settings › MIDI › “Connect a Bluetooth MIDI keyboard or pedal…”.

I can't hear anything

  1. Turn up the device volume and the Master slider in the app.
  2. Run ⚙ Settings › Audio › “Run sound check”: it finds the most common problems.
  3. Using an audio interface or the keyboard's speakers? Choose it in ⚙ Settings › Audio.

Recordings

Tap Record and choose Sound only or Screen + sound. Files are saved in the Anointed Keys folder: Documents on Mac, the Files app on iPad, Downloads on Android. The first screen recording asks for your permission.

Setlists

Save as… lets you pick where the setlist file goes. Share sends it to your team. Opening a shared setlist asks whether to add its songs to your setlist or replace it.

My setup is gone after closing the app

Check that ⚙ Settings › General › “Remember my setup when I close the app” is on. The app also keeps a backup in Anointed Keys › Backups and brings it back by itself if needed.

Upgrades

Upgrade to Praise and Worship or Anointed inside the app. To use an upgrade on a new device with the same Apple or Google account, choose “Restore purchases” in ⚙ Settings › Account.

Opening the Mac app the first time

Until the Mac App Store version is available, macOS may say it can't check the app. Click Done, open System Settings › Privacy & Security, click Open Anyway next to “Anointed Keys” and confirm. Only open copies you got from us directly.
